PMD-L SS7 – “Blue Thunder”

Part 2: Lightning Rod.

Inside the city was a team that consisted of several ice to water type Pokémon, some of them were guarding an ice-cube. They got closer and saw that the Castle owner Vespiquen was trapped inside the ice, unable to move. Some of the Combee were battling the ice type Pokémon, but failed to be victorious due to the other Pokémon’s size and power. A bunch of Gyarados and Walrein walked up to them. They told Ashton and Aaron to back off. Of course, none of them liked to hear that, so they started to fight with the ice types. After a few minutes Ashton and Aaron were both nearly defeated.

“You idiot Aaron… We battled each other before we started battling them. Of course we’re not strong enough to-“

“Wahahaha! You guys really think you can defeat me this easily!?” Gyarados yelled.

“Don’t make me laugh! You’re weaker than we expected!” Walrein laughed.

“EY!!! Don’t waste time on shrimp like them, you two! Go take over the castle!” A random Feebass yelled at them as he also instructed other Pokémon to take over specific parts of that city.

“Feebass! I knew it! You little pest, what is Milotic up to NOW!?” Aaron yelled at him.

“Don’t get in my way or else you’ll taste Gyarados Hydro pump!”

“…Hiding behind stronger Pokémon, keh. Just like you, pathetic parasite.” Gyarados knocked Aaron back with a aqua tail and silenced him.

“Aaron, we need to retreat! There’s no way we can beat them on our own! Gyarados is a flying type as well! The odds are against us.”

“Odds? OOOOODDS??? That’s an odd word. “ A voice said.

They all looked around the city to see where the voice came from, but no one seemed to be able to spot it. All of a sudden a leaf storm hit all of the Pokémon in front of Aaron and Ashton and they were knocked back by leafs. A Roserade jumped down from a really tall building and did a pirouette while hitting them with black thorns that came out of the roses on her hands.

“The odds are against us? Are ye sure that the odds decide this?”

“WAH! How can a grass-type be so powerful!? You practically knocked them back with 1 hit! How haven’t you been defeated yet? One ice-type move would do it!” Ashton stood up both impressed and shocked.

“AYE! *Completely annoyed* what did ye just say!? This petal of mine has more power than ye have in yer entire soul!”

“To be honest, an ant has more power than Ashton does.”

“Stop the chit-chatting! Time is important here! Beat them all and hurry up!” Feebass yelled at them.

Roserade pulled Aaron up from the ground and told him to fight by her side. Through the entire battle, Roserade evaded the ice-type moves with her graceful dance and attacked at the same time, while Aaron and Ashton still struggled to avoid their hits. Aaron must have struggled more than Ashton, because Aaron can’t feel pain, so there is no limit to how far he can push himself before he collapses. He doesn’t care about the attacks hitting him as long as he hits them as well. Gyarados landed quite a fateful hit on Aaron and almost froze him. Aaron started to move slower because of the massive damage he had taken the entire battle, just rush without thinking. All of it had to end soon.

“Oh nay, are ye alright?” Roserade asked.

“Aaron seems to be having trouble… (Pf. that’s what you get when you rush to battle, he didn’t even bother to avoid the attacks. Does he have a tactic?)”

Soon all 3 of them were cornered and had no way to escape, all water type Pokémon from the city had gathered to battle them because they were the only Pokémon remaining in the city, everyone else had escaped.

“Oh…this will be a dilemma…”

“Yeah! I knew this wasn’t going to work! Aaron, say something! What are we going to do NOW!?”

“…………………..”

“Gh! You’re out of ideas too!?”

“Wahahahaha! Fear my mighty fish-army! They will never fall for such shrimps as you!” Feebass said and ordered Blastoise to fire a Hydro canon at Aaron. Roserade and Ashton both yelled at Aaron to move out of the way or at least try to protect himself. He did not listen to their words and just let the Hydro canon hit him; a big wave almost flooded the entire city. Aaron was still standing up however, his body was shaking, his eyes were focused on Feebass the entire time before and after the hit, he didn’t budge. Roserade and Ashton didn’t seem to have a plan, in their eyes it looked like Aaron had given up…but then…

“…Heh. You fell into my trap, Feebass.” Aaron said and grinned.

“WAH!? HOW ARE YOU STILL STANDING UP!? No! No! What trap!? I’ve been hitting you constantly! There’s NO WAY you can knock all of us out, there’s too many of us and this is our field now! This entire city is drenched in water, it’s OUR territory now!”

“…Ha…Ha…HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The entire city is drenched in water! There you have your answer!”

“Um. I think Aaron might have just lost it…” Ashton hid behind Roserade as protection. He climbed on to her back and told her to not let go.

“Ye are such a wuss…”

“Couldn’t we die together HAPPY, why did you have to insult me?”

Aaron put his right paw on his heart and he pointed up in the sky with the left;

“EAT MY LIGHTNING AND TURN INTO FISH-FILE YOU PRICK!” Aaron’s eyes started glowing blue and the sky got cloudy. A big roar was heard before the thunder came down and hit Aaron as well as all the other water type Pokémon. It was no normal thunder, but it was blue. It hit all water type Pokémon in the city and caused them to faint, it also broke the Ice that had captured Vespiquen so she was set free. Ashton fell of Roserades back because of the tremor that came with the thunder, and Roserade looked really surprised. Once the thunderclouds faded away Aaron walked over to Feebass and grabbed him by his tail, holding him up side down. Luckily Roserade was standing in a safe spot and the lightning didn’t reach her.

“…How…did ye do…that?” Roserade asked completely dumbstruck.

“Thunder-punch.” Were Aaron’s only words.

“That was no bloody thunder punch! The entire sky exploded!” Ashton yelled.

“Mmrrrr…” Aaron seemed rather annoyed.

“W-…what’s wrong?”

Aaron put Feebass in his mouth and started chewing him. Both Roserade and Ashton screamed. Ashton pulled the Feebass out of Aaron’s mouth.

“Are you out of your mind!? Don’t eat this guy! Why would you do that!?”

“I just made a pun. I’m hungry; he’s the closest thing to food. Gimme.” Aaron said with a really bored look on his face. It seemed like this entire battle was planned from the start.

“Ugh…You’re… So completely random at times…(is this the same guy that gave me that lecture just a moment ago?)”

“Splendid performance! Just splendid!” Vespiquen said and clapped her hands.

“No. Seriously Ashton, gimme.”

“I’m not gonna let you eat Feebass! GET OUT!”

“…Seems like I can’t quite communicate with the newbie over there. Ahm. HELLO? I’m very pleased to find out that you three saved my city. I need to thank you somehow.” Vespiquen tried to catch their attention.

“Got any food? That’s enough as a thanks, I’m starving.” Aaron looked over at Vespiquen.

“AARON!!!” Ashton threw Feebass at Aaron’s head and started yelling at him. Poor Feebass still unconscious and unaware of what was happening…

“Feebass there is Milotic’s henchman, I’m sure. If you want to find out more about why they attacked your city, I suggest talking to him would be the best option.”

“Hm…Aaron was it?” Roserade said. She walked over to Aaron and picked him up like a little kid.

“LADY! PUT ME DOWN! IM NOT A TOY!”

“Dawwwww What a cute little guy. Such adorable ears and big shining eyes…-and very tiny brain.” She then dropped him down on the ground again and continued talking.

“- I saw ye battling with those Gyarados, ye didn’t even bother to avoid attacks. If ye keep that up, yer gonna end up a dead man. A dead man I say! What are ye thinking?!”

“Uh, I’m thinking about going to get some food.”

“Why don’t we first take care of these…scum? Throw them out of the city, and then we can talk in the castle, ok honey?” Vespiquen said happily.

“Castle?” Ashton asked.

“Yeah. Vespiquen is this City’s castle owner. Yer all welcome inside if ye want to stay.”
